Hello my name is Tanya Larrigan, l am a self employed professional rider/ trainer and coach in the equestrian world. However l am very fortunate that l have crossed many boundaries in the horse world within the my career.
l had a rather unique start to my life as l was born into the world of the circus and spent my early childhood there, hence my love of entertainment and the draw for the bright lights.
l am lucky enough to have a career that has taken me to many different parts of the globe as a trainer and presenter, in turn l have met and worked with some great people from all walks of life as well as gaining some special friendships. l have met some amazing horses and other animals.
My dreams and goals during my lifetime have been varied, from reaching the 'top' as an international rider during my career, to extending my coaching and training work, to writing books and creating entertainment productions on a major scale.
On the equestrian training front we offer a variety of help to those who want to learn more or learn something different, be it riding or working from the ground, whether you are an experienced rider who wishes to brush up their technique or are a 'happy hacker' who wishes to learn abit more with their equine friend we are ready and waiting - as long as you want to learn then we want to assist you! My training goes from the happy hacker, to the competition rider and to the 'A list' stars.
The other side of my life is the entertainment world - providing horses of all sizes for display work, photo shoots and film work. l also produce events for others such as Gala evenings and private functions, not forgetting my own production The Magic of the Horse a major family entertaiment event

The modern techno world does have much to offer and it is there to be used but,at times l feel it dictates that we move to fast through our lives and in doing so forget to savour the moment.

My other business site is 'The Magic of the Horse'. You will find all the information about my equestrian variety production that l staged for the first time in '07 with the help of my bank manager! Starring 40 horses and ponies of different breeds, it was called 'The Magic of the Horse®'. With music lights and action, featuring 13 displays, from comedy to classical with lots in-between, from miniatures to shires and more to be seen - it really was a show for all the family.
The production was so well received that l took it back to Towerland Park Dec '08 for a Xmas spectacular and we returned on April 17th 2010! This is a side of my work that l really want to expand.

Below are Students on a 'New Sensations' Training Day I am lucky that I am able to do such a variety of work with my horses. We as a family feel that by promoting how to look after, handle, train and ride horses or ponies to the best of ones ability can only serve to make it a better place for the horse.
Welfare should always be to the front, in the keeping, the travelling, the handling of all animals and in the training and riding them.
Based on co-operation not domination, we want our horses to work with us & be happy!To this end we make no secret of how we work with and train our animals.
When checking a horse that had come in for 'help', my vet passed the comment, he has never visited us for problems caused by over training or stress injuries, l like to think that proves my point.
FOR ALL THAT IS ADVERTISED ACROSS THE WEB, IN THE BOOKS, DVD'S AND DEMONSTRATIONS THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT THERE IS NO MAGICAL WAY OF TRAINING, IT TAKES TIME AND PATIENCE KNOWLEDGE AND PATIENCE CONTINUITY AND PATIENCE RESPECT AND PATIENCE ABOVE ALL NEVER ABUSE AN ANIMALS TRUST OR GIVE IT REASON TO FEAR YOU ON THE GROUND OR THE SADDLE
It is a wise person who acknowledges their ponies or horses limitations, as well as their own, do this and you will have a great partnership!
